It’s fall... Rain is pouring down and leaves are falling. This calls for drinks in a warm bar, where one can chat about the everyday irritations or joys of being (with) an expat.
To give all this a deeper dimension, we have invited Carl H.D. Steinmetz, PhD, a well known Dutch psychologist specialised in assisting expats and immigrants, to share his experiences with us. Mr Steinmetz will give a one hour presentation on the problems and benefits of melting multiple cultures in a society like the Netherlands and how this effects everyday life. Please see http://www.expats-immigrants.com for more information on the work and background of Mr Steinmetz.
We look forward to seeing you on November 13 in the Blauwe Theehuis.
On behalf of Finans Network Amsterdam Team
We will start with some drinks and snacks. The presentation of Mr Steinmetz will start at 20.00 hrs and the bar will close at 22.30 hrs.
Please register as soon as possible (but not later than November 3) by means of sending an e-mail to Ms Maaike Veerman (firstname.lastname@example.org, with a copy to Amsterdam_tfn@hotmail.com).
Blauwe Theehuis has only room for 60 guests, which means that we will determine the attendee list in the order of registration. Any cancellations are to be made prior to November 8, 2013, per e-mail to the attention of Ms Maaike Veerman in order to be able to timely determine the final attendee list and to prevent disappointments in case of overbooking.
We thank you for your consideration in this respect.
